In this procedure, ultrasound wave is focused at the different depths of the skin with the help of the transducer just like a magnifying lens. This focused energy, generates heat which stimulates the skin to produce collagen, elastin and other dermal matrices at different levels of the dermis. It also helps to melt the fat from the resistant areas such as double chin, jowls.
Most people notice modest lifting and tightening within 3 to 6 months after a single treatment.
Post HIFU you may experience mild redness, swelling, and occasional linear streaks lasting a day or up to 5days. An occasional feeling of tightness may last up to a month, before it completely disappears.
We recommend regular skin care including sunscreen with focus on peptides, and retinol for its collagen regenerating properties. Additionally, we teach our patients facial massage technique and advise to start doing it after a day.
HIFU is popular for lifting the sagging cheeks, defining the jawline contour, reducing the double chin, and tightening the neck. It is also good for reducing the depth of static wrinkles.
HIFU results are long-lasting, provided you follow your skin care, diet, and sleep.
You may repeat it after 3 to 6 months, then yearly or even every 2-3 years to catch up with the ongoing aging.
